Handmade Victorian Revival Silk Cream Ribbon French Ribbonwork Guardian Angel Ornament for the Nursery | Holiday Christmas Ornament

Here's a small heart shaped ornament of 100% cream silk with the image of a blonde haired angel at the center (copy of a Victorian die cut from my personal collection). The heart is embellished with cream rayon ribbon along with a small mauve florette with mint green leaves at the center top; there are also some small faux pearl accents. The silk has been overlaid over a slightly padded heart shape and decorated with rayon cream ribbon and a single French ribbon applique. The back of the ornament is flat and has a backing of cream satin. Not including the ribbon hanger, the heart measures 2-5/8" x 2-5/8" without the ribbon ties. Lightweight. Will work well on a feather tree as well as a fake or traditional real fir tree!

NOTE: The flash on my camera makes the color a little diffuse - the ornament is a bit darker in person. Like all ornaments, this piece should be wrapped in tissue and laid flat when storing to preserve both the graphics and the ribbon. Nothing heavy should be placed on top.
