French Revival Ribbonwork Ribbon Roses Applique Decoration | Cream Maroon and Ombre Green | Dress - Doll Hat Trim

With 2 sections dating to the 1980s or so, here's a French Revival ribbon rose embellishment handmade using only a needle, thread, vintage/antique ribbon, sugar pips and a bit of crinoline. Made in a French Revival ribbon work manner, the double floral applique can be sewn onto any item you desire (or if you want to save time, just glue). Size is 1 7/8" x 1-3/4". Coloring is cream satin, mauve silver and French ombre green.

Ideas? Well, a doll hat, doll dress, maybe a sachet, a small box, hair ornaments, you name it - the ideas are endless. If you want to place on a piece of clothing, it's best to add a pin to the back and then 'pin it' to the clothing. This way, when the clothing needs cleaning, you can remove the piece before laundering. The sugar pips don't take to water too well!
