Handmade Mixed Media Victorian Revival Celluloid Postcard Greeting Card | Jump | Young Girl with Her Dog

Starting with an ANTIQUE C.1900 French celluloid post card, I added a CONTEMPORARY black-stamped faux postcard backing (white). To the top, I added CONTEMPORARY cardstock, VINTAGE C.1950 rayon ribbon (peach), an ANTIQUE VICTORIAN sentiment mini card (An Offering from my Heart), a portion of an ANTIQUE VICTORIAN trade card (a young lady putting her pet dog through a hoop), VINTAGE Germany Dresden Paper embellishments (gold and brown) and finally some VINTAGE C.1950 letters that spell the word JUMP! All together, the components form this very special ONE OF A KIND greeting card ornament! Not including the rayon ribbon hangar, the post card measures 3-3/8" high x 5-3/16" wide.

Use as a Wall ornament, Christmas ornament or gift tag to a holiday present (the back white paper can certainly bear a personalized sentiment).

Each individual piece of the ornament was hand glued, there is no varnish or shellac top coat. When storing, care should be taken that no parts of the card catch on to anything - this might tend to pull a component from its original position.
