Art Deco French Ribbon Work Floral Spray - Lampshade or Dress Decoration

Dating to the Art Deco period (1920s or so), may I offer this Made in France - French ribbonwork flower spray that once adorned a lady's boudoir lamp shade. Measuring a lengthy 4-1/4" long, width at the center is 1-1/4". Entirely handsewn with thread and backed onto a piece of crinoline, the applique - decoration - embellishment features different types of ribbon in colors of cream, pinkish cream and pale purple. The applied leaves are olive green ombre. While the center section of the piece is handsewn, the ends of the piece are held in place with thin wire (as seen in the photos). This is just how this piece was made and yes, the wire was even exposed on the lamp shades. Leave as is or cover with embroidery floss. A hard to find piece of French ribbon work that will look fabulous on any project you can think of!
