Urgent Requests for Information: Protocol for Emergency Scenarios

Should you find yourself dealing with a situation that constitutes an emergency—specifically, one that poses a significant risk of death or severe physical injury to anyone within the Finnalby community or the general public—time-sensitive action is crucial. In such circumstances, please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Immediate Contact Instructions for Emergency Situations

Direct your urgent inquiry to legal@finnalby.com. Use your official government email address to ensure immediate attention and verification.

    1. Essential Information to Include in Your Emergency Email

To expedite the process and for the sake of clarity, your email should feature:

      1. Personal and Professional Details: Include your full name, title, and the government agency you represent. Additionally, provide comprehensive contact details—government email address, phone number, and fax number.
      2. Summary of the Emergency: Clearly outline the situation, detailing how it poses a significant risk of death or severe physical injury to an individual or a group.
      3. Identification of At-Risk Individuals: Name the person or people who are at immediate risk.
      4. Specific Records Requested: Clearly specify which records you require and how they are pertinent to addressing the emergency.
      5. Legal Process Limitations: Explain why normal legal procedures cannot be followed in this situation and why the requested information needs to be disclosed immediately.

Imperative: Contact Local Law Enforcement

If you are aware of an emergency scenario, your first line of action should be to get in touch with local law enforcement agencies directly and immediately.

This is the official protocol to follow for any emergency information requests. We strongly encourage adherence to these guidelines to ensure swift and efficient action in critical situations.

Finnalby generally objects to requests to provide witnesses for trial or deposition. When producing records, Finnalby provides a standard records custodian declaration of authenticity. Live testimony by a records custodian is unnecessary because the records are self-authenticating.

Finnalby may seek reimbursement for costs directly incurred in searching, assembling, collecting, and preparing records or information for production.
